Program Notes:

“Captive Thoughts” is a musical reflection on desensitization and overstimulation from an ever-clashing ocean of images and ideas on the internet, specifically the dissonance between the artificiality of AI-generated content and the extremely personal perspectives of war. In my piece I In this vast ocean of information and misinformation, it is our thoughts that we must intently take control of, unless we will inevitably drown.
